“Design in art, is a recognition of the relation between various things, various elements in the creative flux. You can't invent a design. You recognize it, in the fourth dimension. That is, with your blood and your bones, as well as with your eyes.” - David Herbert Lawrence

Peeping on voyeurs in the park

In the 1970s, Japanese photograhper Kohei Yoshiyuki stumbled upon a couple in a park engaged in sexual activity in the darkness and, somewhat more curiously, two men creeping towards the couple, watching them. Over many months, he followed these voyeurs in the park, befriended them, and outfitted his camera with ...

Airplane Graveyard

The Airplane Graveyard set is pretty intense given its HDR nature but I think the long shots are the most effective.

Rosemary Laing

Laing’s photographs show women being tossed around amidst raging swirls of newspaper clippings….making the viewer conjure thoughts of global turmoil atmospherically, genderly and politically…….maybe. At Galerie Lelong.

    Shepard Fairey for Obama

Shepard Fairey is well known for his prolific stickering and flyposting of his propaganda-style images. While we at CR are well aware of his ability to stick his images just about anywhere in any city, we’re still surprised to see his the hot-off-the-press posters he’s created in support of Senator ...
